And myrecipesdaily is my little corner of the internet!
I launched myrecipesdaily in the summer of 2016 while I was still a full‑time elementary school teacher in Asheville, NC. I started by jotting down the quick meals I made for my family after school, and I posted the first recipe—my go‑to lemon‑garlic chicken—on a modest WordPress blog. The response was surprisingly warm; within a year I had 15,000 unique visitors and a growing email list.
Fast forward to 2024, the site now hosts more than 2,000 recipes and reaches roughly 150,000 readers each month. In 2022 I introduced a weekly newsletter that now boasts 12,300 subscribers, and I’ve added a printable recipe card feature that’s been downloaded over 45,000 times. I’m grateful that my little experiment has turned into a trusted resource for home cooks who, like me, crave simple, flavor‑first dishes.
When I’m not testing a new sauce or editing a photo, you’ll find me hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains with my husband, Mark, and our two kids, Lily (7) and Noah (5). Our kitchen shelves are lined with vintage cookbooks I’ve collected on trips to flea markets, and Saturday mornings are reserved for sourdough starter care. I love the balance of a well‑tuned recipe and a spontaneous kitchen experiment—both keep life deliciously unpredictable.
